I'm charting out songs for a rehearsal this evening...
This is my desk... I have my iPod, to play the songs I need to learn over and over again as I write down my notes on scraps of paper in my illegible scrawl... I have my diary, reminding me that I need to know all this stuff by Friday, when my first gig with this artist is! I also have some mini Creme Eggs, and some sparkling water (ooh, posh!) to keep me alive throughout the process... (Still feeling the effects of yesterday's night out!) And of course, my MacBook with some website called "365 Project" on it...!!
Some of you may not think this looks much like work, of course... But hey - I'm teaching this evening (in a couple of minutes, in fact) and after that, I have half an hour's break, and then the rehearsal... I shall probably spend that half hour eating a sandwich with one hand, as I try to turn the studio from a teaching room into a rehearsal room... Tomorrow, I'm planning some rhythm workshops for next weekend... Then after that, the weekend rush begins again... (Yes, my weekends frequently start on Thursdays!) So there...!! :P
