Right... For those who don't know, I have a real obsession with digital numbers... It may seem crazy - probably due to the fact that it is crazy! - but I have an almost unnatural love for certain combinations of digital numbers...
Any digital clock which is 00:00, 11:11, 22:22 or 33:33, I will sit and watch for the full minute of that time... And if I see a clock which will be one of those times, in the next few minutes, I just have to hang around and wait for it...!
Also, any patterns or palindromes, like 12:34, or 22:55, or 10:01... I have actually made myself late for an appointment because I was sitting in the car outside, waiting for the digital clock in my car to go to 12:34 - sad, eh?
And, any combinations of the numbers 1, 7 and 0 - because those number don't use the central horizontal "bar" of a digital numeral, so you get a complete horizontal line going right through the middle of the whole number...
Obviously, 7777 has the horizontal line I mentioned above, and it's also four repeated 7's - exciting stuff, right? So when the mile-counter on my car went to 777.7 on the way home from work today, I had to pull over and photograph it!
Anyway, I hope I haven't bored you with my crazy... Because I do fully acknowledge how ridiculously OCD I must seem with all this!
Ok, I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one! I have a picture of my speedometer at 08000 and it bugs me that the 8 isn't in the middle! =) You're totally sane.
My van turned over 88,888 last week. I was on the freeway traveling at 70mph, so a photo was not really possible (neither could I pull over within that mile). I was a bit bummed that I didn't get a shot. Oh well, now I have to shoot for 99,999 (and the subsequent 100,000 mile shot, too!)
