Left Side or Right Side

I’ve read about how most faces are asymmetrical, so I played around with Photoshop to check out my own face. My actual self-portrait is the center image. The left image is made up of the left side of my face for the left half, which I then copied, flipped, and pasted into the spot for the right side of my face. The right image is made up the same way from only the right side of my face. I’ve been looking at this face for over 50 years, but I’m shocked at how different the two halves look!

Thanks for your views and comments -- always much appreciated.

P.S. This BuzzFeed article is pretty cool: Here's What 15 Celebs Would Look Like If Their Faces Were Symmetrical

What's interesting is that the R and L faces have different "moods."

Very true - the right shot shows your face more 'full' that the left shot. You have a lovely smile.

@houser934 Thanks for the comment. The left one looks so strange to me -- the eyes are way too close together.

@dawnee I used Photoshop to copy and flip half of my face to make a whole face. Thanks for your comment.

@sangwann I guess I should be glad that I like the middle one (the real one) the best. Maybe I am just the most used to it. Thanks for your comment.

Such a cool idea! Its amazing how different they are... yes, interesting how close together your eyes are on the first one. Perhaps we are meant to be asymmetrical... the best of both sides. lol follow fav

@stefneyhart Thanks -- love your comment about us being meant to be asymmetrical. I read a little about facial symmetry, and there's some evidence that symmetrical faces are more likely to be viewed as attractive, but that if they are too perfectly symmetrical, they are viewed as being disconcerting or abnormal.
