Murder Most Foul

Spirits told their stories of a pirate attack on the open sea, a lawyer turned hobo, a torrid affair, a rumored witch, a librarian spinster, and the Spanish flu at my local historical society’s annual fundraiser. As we toured the cemetery at night, the spirits would come forward and tell their tales of their lives and deaths, all meticulously researched from historical records. We surrounded their graves to listen.
