This is the Runcorn end of the Bridgewater canal, one of the oldest in the country. It used to continue under the bridge down through a series of 9 locks to the river Mersey, but in the 1960s with the building of new approach roads to the Widnes Bridge they were filled in. However with the imminent building of another bridge over the Mersey it is hoped to get the locks re-instated.
Lovely warm & golden glow , great pov and the lines leading you to the pop of red under the bridge then on a more relaxed view there is so much to feast with one's eyes .This image has more life in it and I prefer it to the b&w image .
