Once I started looking there are quite a few Ladybirds hiding in the Ivy around the garden, this one was in probably the best spot to get a shot. Another shot from my recent visit to Scotland in my other album today.
@cailts Thank you Clare, funny you mentioned the Asian lookalike beetles, have you seen my next post ? We have them as well, but not in huge numbers yet.
Very nice macro-march4 shot! I try and try but have never gotten a "great" lady bug pic. Yours is terrific. Fav for me. Did you move him to a new location? I have tried that, but they often fly off and won't cooperate
@anazad511 Thank you very much Ana for the comment and Fav.
@espyetta Thank you very much MaryBeth for the comment and Fav. No, I took this were he was on the Ivy leaf, I did try twisting the leaf a little bit to get the light a bit better but he was quite happy to sit there and pose. Once I had found him, I spotted a few more hiding on the Ivy but he was in the best spot.
Talking of moving them, the next post has an Alien Ladybird in and I had to move him, but it was quite cold and he walked around a bit but never tried to fly off. If you want a cheat, catch your Ladybird, put him in a little container and pop it in the fridge, not the ice box. Leave him an hour and then take him out and he will be very sluggish for a while till he warms up.
@mzzhope Thank you for the follow Hope
