This is the interior of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King, Liverpool.

Known locally as Paddy's Wigwam, because its iconic shape and the large proportion of Irish workmen employed during it's construction.

@padlock Well worth visiting, but try and get a sunny day, the stained glass in the sides and the wigwam tower, really come to life with the sun.
Plus if you come to Liverpool, you can get two for the price of one. Walk out of the front door of this one, down all the steps, and just follow your nose, down Hope Street. In less than half a mile you come to the magnificent Liverpool Anglian Cathedral.
As the song goes, if you want a Cathedral we've got one to spare !!!
