It was our local Camera Club competition night, last night. This Water Rail, ( posted on here a while back), got First in Nature, the Sparrowhawk I posted last week got Third in Nature. The red Hogwarts Express, from last week again, got another First in Record, and I also got fifth in Record. The dramatic sky post of the power station, again from last week got fourth in Open Colour, and I picked up a final fourth place in the set subject theme of Mechanics with detail of a traction engine steering gear.
All in all, I think, quite a successful night. That judge is welcome back anytime !
I am so glad the judges recognised how wonderful your photos are as the judge at my previous club didn't seem to like natural history at all. Perhaps it was because they were open competitions rather than nature as the subject. Anyway, this is a lovely photo and deserves the first place. Fav
