DUTTON WEIR by markp

DUTTON WEIR

Out canoeing today up the Weaver, as I neared Dutton Locks, I veered off the main canal, and followed the now rarely used original course of the river. This is where the water flows to keep the level in the canal constant.
The now canalised main route runs from the bridge in the background, towards the right, through the Dutton Locks and eventually meets back up with the river I was sitting in.
