RAKING THROUGH THE LEAVES

Saturday was a dark, cloudy, day, just not right to try and get bird photographs in the garden so I decided I was going to do something in the house. Then looking out of the window, I spotted a Grey Wagtail, a very rare visitor to the garden, bobbing around. Straight outside, but I did not get the Wagtail, I will keep my eyes open as it might be using the pond further down which I can't see from the house. However once outside I stayed. Good decision. The numbers of birds seems to have increased greatly since the New Year, all the regular suspects called in today, plus the Wren which is normally right down the bottom was up by the feeders at the back door. The Coal Tits were showing well, the Long-Tailed Tits visiting very regularly and as you can see in my other album the Goldcrests put in their first appearance this winter. All I need now is some decent light. Oh, and this is a Dunnock.
Stunning focus!
