Read some where in discussions about somebody wanting to know about people who also take videos with the same camera they shoot pictures with. I've just been struggling to upload my first video to youtube...i created a audio visual slide show of some of my 365 pics as an .avi file (to link from here as my pic of the day), but youtube says it's not a valid file format !!! Oh well that's an hour or so of my evening wasted !!!
I love your photo a lot. The clarity of the subject and the blurred background make a really nice shot. Wind chimes are so beautiful. What a great choice for this weeks theme. As far as video goes, I bought a cheap/inexpensive camcorder and it is terrible. I took video with my little point and shoot that I use for photos and it does a better job and it does not pick up slight movement like my friends camcorder does and it is only a camcorder. Mine is not great to enlarge too much as it gets grainy but the music comes out clear. Really surprised me. Can't afford a camcorder so using what I have. If you find a camera/camcorder that works well and is reasonable, please let me know. My camera no longer clicks and has a few issues so hoping it lasts for some time to come.
Nice theme shot. That is a cute wind chime. You are lucky to have green in the background instead of brown or white. One Nikon can take video, my iPhone can, my iPad can and my point-and-shoot can, but I have a video camera for videos, so I do not like to mix.
@phil_howcroft LOL! Phil, you always say the nicest things and you are one of the few who will read the whole description. Most do not even read the first line. I can tell! Ha ha! Can you export your movie to Quicktime .mov format? So sorry your having difficulty! I'd like to see it!
@marlboromaam maggie i use software called pictures2exe to create my AV's.....it creates .exe files for pc's but can also create .avi files...the whole world of video codecs is so complicated and i'm an IT guy too :)
@markbuehl Yes, that's the azaleas. They pretty much stay green all year round. I can understand not wanting to mix. But, this is all I've got for both right now. LOL! Thank you for the comments!
