Finishing my series of light, shadow, shade and a mirror... I want to thank everyone who commented on each and every pic. It's been a fun series for me and sometimes a whole lot of work in the heat, but worth it. I have more ideas for another mirror series, but I will give it a break for a while. Love this final photo in your series, Maggie. Your background and including part of you in this photo is so creative and came out great. I would like to try a photo like you have done but not sure about a series.

@maggiemae I left a comment on that pic, Maggiemae! I'm glad it made the PP for you! Thank you for pointing that out to me! I wanted to use "light, shadow, and shade" and show those in every shot in the series. It forced me to think about those elements and the composition. It's a great exercise.

To me, this is an alluring and interesting self portrait- the bevel on the mirror splits your image in an interesting way, suggesting you have 2 sides to your personality, the angle,camera, cowgirl hat, and your position on edge of border creates a teasing effect- can see you, but can't! The flip-flops and nearly-bare feet add an innocent seductive quality. I doubt any of that is what you were going for here, and none of the others commenting have mentioned all this, so maybe I am just way out in left field. Maybe it is just an X and Y, Mars and Venus thing! Maybe your female critics noticed some of these points but were not bold about pointing it out? A beautiful photo. Help me out here, guys ...

@marlboromaam Oh... hmmmm don't know if I could do anything near as good as yours... and I'll need to go find me a mirror... lol... I love yours... it has that vintage feel... I have one mirror... well, several, but don't want full length ahahaha and the other one... hmmm it might work, but would need to be the right shots to work with that particular mirror. Let me see what I can do :)
@ozziehoffy My mirror came from Walmart, Cassandra. I got it a few years ago and it costs about $20. It's not very heavy either which is what I like. Sure you can do it! Come on, gal!
