I am only one,
But still I am one.
I cannot do everything,
But still I can do something;
And because I cannot do everything
I will not refuse to do the something that I can do.
This is an old church on Main Street in downtown Sumter, SC. This is a view of the back of the church as seen from the outpatient hospital parking lot. I was so amazed at how soft and silky the clouds looked as I got out of the car to go join my mother for her procedure. I let her out at the entrance door so she would not have to walk so far. I really didn't do this sight the justice it so deserved. I said a little prayer and entered the hospital... What an idiot to forget to bring the umbrella! LOL!
@vickisfotos Well, it was the soft and silky clouds that I really wanted to capture here. The fact that where they were so illuminated in my view was right above the church. I really did not do this much justice. Thank you, Vicki!
Lovely silky soft clouds behind the spike of the tower. Towards top on right looks like a face is breaking through. Atmospheric.
Good news that your mother is recovering well.
I've always liked that poem...beautiful capture of the clouds with the spire to point to them. Glad your mother is on the mend and hope you didn't get too wet.
NIce and calming poem and view, Maggie. I hope her procedure went well and that she is getting better ! On the other hand, forgot to congratulate you on your job! Well done you, good luck and send positive thought for me too, still looking here....

Love that quote by Everett. So true. Problem with me is I try to do "everything," being the multitasker that I am ;-) Great photo of the church and the steeple rising up to the moody sky. Hope all went well with your mom.
a beautiful minimalistic shot maggie , I had to spend a lot of time at hospitals during june and july as my father passed away, so this is quite a poignant shot but very uplifting too.
I apologize for the mass reply. Free time to do this is very little right now. However, wanted to thank all of you for your lovely comments. Most appreciated! Hope I will have some more free time this coming weekend to comment and post the rest of my pics for the end of my project. Missing your pics!
