I feel you when a shot is not compositionally outstanding, but certain elements in it are so beautiful. I often encounter that myself.
In this one, for instance, the element that strikes me is the division in three parts. The tryptych structure.

I know the feeling... but you got a shot anyway! As bummed as I sometimes am with my images on those days, I still appreciate seeing them in my monthly view.

I like the strong diagonal in the top left, which provides structure for the right third of the frame, IMO. :)
