To be sold at auction. When we were stationed in France during the early 1960s, my mother scoured the junk shops all over the country for treasures she could have restored. This love seat was made during the time of and style of Louis XV. It is NOT a reproduction. She had the wood refinished and has had it reupholstered twice that I can remember. I blurred the distracting background as best as I could in On1. Phone shot.
@k9photo She was and collected a few pieces. Yes, and it will be completely online. So no parade of people in mom's house, just when they come to pick up what they got. =)
@kvphoto Thank you, KV. My mother loved these pieces. Doubtful they will get a good price (I've researched them) and I doubt anyone will really know what they're getting for so little. If Gallery 63 was still doing Auctions, I'd send them there because the guy's sister is an expert with antiques.
@onewing Thank you, Babs. Someone will probably get a really good deal and only pay a quarter of what it's worth.
@ludwigsdiana Thank you, Diana.
@mittens Thank you, Marilyn.
@beverley365 Thank you, Beverley.
@bigmxx Thank you, Michelle.
@robz Thank you, Rob. Just a few. =)
