To be sold at auction. My mom found this beautiful bed in some junky shop here in South Carolina. She had it cleaned up and the wood refinished. This is more my style, but my small house has no more room - unless I got rid of my old oak guest bed. I blurred the distracting background as best as I could in On1. Phone shot.
It doesn't look very long - maybe people were shorter then! My husband would have to put his feet up over the top of the bottom of the bed! But its rather magnificent!

@maggiemae Thank you, Maggiemae. The frame of this bed takes a regular full size mattress and box springs. Perhaps it's the footboard that makes it look shorter. My father who was six feet plus one inch tall slept in it before they got their king size four-poster bed.
