Burl...

It's enormous! The biggest one I've ever seen. My neighbor called me to come right over. Said he had something to show me. It was this burl! It's on the tract to be clear cut. Pooh! Thank you for the link, it was interesting to learn more about what a burl is. I know that they are prized by wood artists but didn't know that they are the poor trees reaction to an injury of some kind.
