I had forgotten how shooting a subject in light AND shadow could add so much life to an otherwise dull shot. I have four different types of cultivated, common, garden-variety camellias growing in my yards. This white one, along with a pink one, are always the first to bloom. I still think it's a shame they have no scent, but the bumbles love their pollen.
