No need to comment - just for the Extras album.

I think that's a dogwood tree. Will know if it blooms this spring. Lots of pines were effected by the pine beetles, sadly. Still many sweetgums, water oak, blackjack oak, more dogwood, wild holly, and wild cherry back in my woods. As soon as I can get back in there, I'm hunting for another box elder, hawthorne and mockernut trees. I just want to document what's there and what's no longer there now.

I love all of the different phases the dogwood goes through... they are beautiful trees and so much fun to photograph.

@kvphoto Thank you, KV! The dogwoods have been through the ringer over the decades with lots of blight/diseases. It's so lovely to see the white specks of their blossoms through the woods in the spring.
