This year has been a lesson for me - don't give up on Mother Nature - she just had her own time schedule. It's actually been one of the prettier falls. Glad you got in on it, too.
@monikozi Well, if I compare last year's pics to this year's, I see a pretty big difference. Last year, we had a very wet fall. 90 percent of the leaves just turned brown and fell off. This year, it was a little dryer. The crepe myrtles are glowing rusty red, the hickory trees are a golden yellow and the sweet gums are their rainbow of fall colors. The only trees that had difficulty was the oaks. My pin oak is normally bright orange, but those leaves just turned brown and fell. The water oaks did the same and they're leaves are normally golden. There may be some eastern red oaks that will have red leaves, but I have not seen any yet. The ones in my yard and woods have done the same as the pin and water oaks. Maybe next year. =)
I don't have that many photos of las year's leaves. That is why I was wondering. But as you have proof, there is no doubt. And it is good that it is like that. I mean to be able to enjoy the beauty of autumn's variety of colours.
@wakelys Hope it will be all the more beautiful for being late.
@kjarn Thanks, Kathy!
@monikozi Thank you, Moni! I think it this year's colors are much better than the last.
Those are some awesome shots.
