Pine needle ICM...

No need to comment - just filling the last hole in this album so I can put it to rest again.

Seemed appropriate to upload this one after the two quakes we had today. The first one was an M3.5 about 2:43 this afternoon and the second was an M3.6 about 7:03 this evening. We heard the sonic boom before the shaking began. Info on the USGS website. Interesting experience!
That is an interesting effect. I like it. Definitely goes with having a shaky day.

I hadn't even had the news of today - - a 3.5 might have rattled things some! Glad you're calmly writing about it.

Fabulous image for your quakes! Living in Tokyo it was a daily thing, sometimes more scary that others ;-)

Lovely impression.

@shutterbug49 Thank you.

@dutchothotmailcom Thanks, Esther.

@milaniet Thanks, Milanie. There's a fault line that runs from western North Carolina all the way down to Charleston. The local news said it was only a mile deep - that's why it was felt by more people in a larger area on a map.

@ludwigsdiana Thanks, Diana. Sounds a lot like California.

@haskar Thanks, Haskar.

Perfect image for a shaky day. Do you have those quakes often?

@dkellogg Thank you, David. I've heard the sonic boom from them more than I have felt them until yesterday. We actually had seven in the area yesterday. I felt and heard only two. We have a fault line that runs from western North Carolina down to Charleston. The last big quake measuring 7.0 was in 1886 and hit Charleston. Most of them seem to be occurring in the Elgin/Lugoff area of South Carolina which is a few miles up the road from me.

@mittens Thanks, Marilyn.
