The pond...

Now that more blue sky reflects in the pond due to the lack of trees, it's much more visible from my back deck.

Kind of nice to see the pond from the deck - but I bet you miss those trees that surrounded you so well.

@milaniet Thanks, Milanie! Luckily, I still have trees all around my little house and on my little patch of woods. But I do miss those trees, even if they were mostly pines. My neighbor's house can be easily seen from the road now and he doesn't like that at all. His 10 acres is still woods, but is right next to the Hunt property that was clear cut.

@wakelys Thank you, Susan! It has, about two feet of mud and grass is not under water right now. We have more rain on the way though.
