Oxburgh Hall by mave

Oxburgh Hall

Our last day. We go home tomorrow. We went to Oxburgh Hall, a large moated 15th century hall owned by the same family for over 500 years. In fact, although it is now NT property, a member of that family still lives in part of the hall. And the family still owns the chapel, which is open to the public. We climbed a narrow stone spiral staircase and went to the top of the tower with great views of the countryside. Hard work, but worth the climb.
It's lovely. Glad you had a good day.

Sounds like a lovely place to visit. We didn’t make it while we were over in that part of the world but something to do next time we’re there.

@gijsje @tunia @amyk @susiemc @happysnaps It is a good place to go. There is quite a lot of scaffolding there at the moment. Difficult to take pictures without it. Lots of great chimney pots, especially from the roof.
