I'm not a sparrow

I took this in the garden yesterday. I knew it wasn't one of the usual sparrows, but I had to ask a couple of my 'birding' friends. I was pleased to be told it is a dunnock. I don't think we have had one of these in the garden before.

Definitely a Dunnock, also known as a Hedge Sparrow. Lovely capture.

We see dunnocks in our garden every now and then, but I fail to take pictures of them. This is a lovely capture.

Lovely! They are very easy to confuse, they look so similar except for the rounder shape of the dunnock. Nice shot

Very sweet capture. We get quite a few dunnocks. The beak is very different from that of a sparrow so that’s the easiest way to tell the difference, a sparrow has a much heavier beak.
