Gull with broken beak?

I was practicing BIF shots the other day. When I got home I noticed this gull appears to have a broken bill. Hopefully it will not hinder its ability to eat.

Awesome capture. There has been a crow in the neighborhood, that had it's beak missing and seemed like it was surviving pretty well. Sure didn't effect it vocal ability. :-)
