The end of my purple week. I wish the cloth looked more like the solid purple that it is. This was taken with natural light coming through the window. Even after trying various white balance settings and tweaking it in iPhoto, it is still too blue in places, and too weak a purple in the others. I'd appreciate any advice anyone has to give. I'd like to try again sometime.
I like you idea of having a weekly challenge within the 365 day challenge. I think you did a pretty good job of shooting the shiny purple fabric. With all the highlights and shadows you are going to get a variety of color. Sometimes it is so hard to get the camera to see what we see. I like this shot.

Hi Mary. I have tried taking pics of crystals before and I find them extremely challenging to do, but I haven't worked out why yet. I have the same problems you had. Maybe we should hitch up again and try?!
