My get pushed challenge from Kathy Boyles this week was to make a self portrait that shows something about myself. OK, so I have to admit I like to eat the chocolate chip cookie dough. I know I'm not alone, though. Coincidentally, after I'd decided to make this photo, but before I'd started making the cookies, a young woman who is a new neighbor brought a few chocolate chip cookies from her and her two roommates. She was actually knocking next door and getting no answer so she asked me (I was outside preparing my other self portrait) if they were home. I didn't know, so she asked if I'd like some cookies. Need she ask??? We introduced ourselves and I started in on one of the cookies. It was still warm from the oven! I told her she was the best neighbor ever.
The fact that I had the rest of those wonderfully warm and fresh cookies (which I virtuously saved for Frank) didn't stop me from making my own. I was looking forward to using my get pushed assignment as an excuse to make cookies and eat some of the dough. Mmmm, mmmm. Sugar high.
