Inspired by Harry Callahan by mcsiegle

Inspired by Harry Callahan

I just spent several days up in Wisconsin at SweetWood and am blessed to have a couple of friends who were willing to model for me. This is my attempt to make a picture inspired by this photo of Harry Callahan's, for the current artist challenge.

My photo doesn't even approach the artistry of Callahan's, but I thought my friend looked beautiful in that setting and it was fun to do. I didn't know anything about Harry Callahan's work before this, but find him very inspiring. The challenge is still going on through this week:

Nice shot -- what a perfect setting for it, and I like the gentle lighting. I appreciated the link to the inspiration, too. This was an interesting challenge for me as well.

@marcy0414 Thanks. I haven't had a lot of time to look at other responses to the challenge. I just looked at yours. I like your take on his self portrait!
