P. S. I Love You by mcsiegle

P. S. I Love You

One of the last things I brought out of my mom's apartment was a pair of large salt and pepper shakers sitting on the stove. The pepper one was cracked, so I didn't want to donate them to a thrift shop. As I was taking the lids off to refill my salt and pepper shakers (kitchen and dining room table) from Mom's I noticed the P and the S and immediately thought of the Beatles song "P.S. I Love You" and my "I Love You" hand shape cookie cutter. That has become widely recognized beyond the deaf community, so I decided to use it for the song title challenge. Originally I was just going to line them up on some sort of attractive, plain background. Then I decided to actually make cookies.

When I went out to YouTube just now to find a link to that song, I found that there is an earlier song written by Johnny Mercer in the 30's by that name also. So I'm gonna give you three links:

Rudy Vallee original recording from the 30's:

This is a favorite. My grandmother had similar shakers and was a non stop pie and cookie baker. This would make such a lovely reminder hanging on a kitchen wall

FAV! Love this one because I sign that to my children whenever they leave my house and are driving away. Now my grandchildren do it too! I don't have time to listen to the songs now but definitely want to listen to them later. Thanks for including the links Mary
