Leaves by mcsiegle

Leaves

Wendy @farmreporter gave me this get-pushed challenge: "Go through your Favorites album and pick one of your favorites, explain what you liked about it, and try to replicate it. You don't have to produce the same photo, but replicate what inspires you about that photo. "

One of the two "favorites" of mine that I found to use as inspiration is this one by Scott Bolden @sbolden I liked the way the grass seen between the slats of a bench could be background or foreground depending on how your eyes focus on it, so I wanted to try to get that effect. I think that it works here. When I look at it, sometimes the strips of leaves seem to come forward with the slats as background. I hope others can see that as well.

Interesting POV....like the brighter colours through the gate.

This is awesome - and a great replication of Scott;s photo. You really do have the foreground / background switcheroo effect going on here.
This is a FAV!

Oh, well done! I really had to look at this to focus correctly to see what you saw.
