Milk bottles by mcsiegle

Milk bottles

My get pushed partner, Saxa @overalvandaan challenged me to use homemade filters. I experimented with several things with mixed results. For this picture of old milk bottles (and milk carton) on the top of our refrigerator, I used a stocking.
@overalvandaan What do you think? I'm not sure I found the best subject for this.

@grammyn Thanks Katy. I think vintage was the effect I was hoping for.

Gives a soft focus look to the image. Your processing give it an old time feel. Nicely done :)

It's so neat that we were both going through each other's projects at the same time and contemplating what challenges to give each other.
I have noticed that you have not been posting regularly and I understand that your camera was broken for a bit so you were depending on your tablet for pics.
So happy to see you got your camera back!
So - in the hopes of helping you kick start your photo habit once again - your challenge is to take a photo every day and pick your favourite one or two (or 3 or 4) for the get pushed challenge.
It would be really good if you could go through the challenges out there (use the Weekly SH*T list to check them out quickly) and enter a challenge (or two).
So many photo ideas and opportunities out there! Have fun with it!
BTW - I am assuming that you have time to do this. Let me know if you do not and I will issue a less time consuming challenge.

Neat soft image made so by your creative filter choice

@farmreporter Thanks, Wendy. I'm using my camera again some. It wasn't exactly broken. The battery charger was broken and, because the camera really needs to be cleaned inside and the image is often affected by the dust and stuff in there, I found myself just using the iPod. I finally got tired of settling for only the iPod and sent off for another battery charger (inexpensive, so no good excuse for dragging my feet) but eventually I'll need to ante up more (scared to find out how much) and send the camera somewhere to be cleaned out so the lens is clear again. Anyway, will do...I'll get myself in gear and take pictures every day AND post them (for some reason not been posting what I DO take promptly. Thanks for the kick in the rear. And the SH*T list rocks, BTW -- the best thing since sliced bread. :-)
