Soup can #7

Soup can meets the snow-covered table
Hi Mary, we're Get Pushed partners this week. My challenge to you is to try shooting in Manual mode. Hopefully this link will be of use: https://digital-photography-school.com/super-simple-introduction-shooting-manual-mode-transform-your-photos/
I resolutely refused to move away from Auto mode for 10+ years on the grounds that my camera was doing an OK job on its own without my help ... it was only a few months into this project I started to tip a toe into the water.
If you are already using Manual, or would prefer a different challenge, please let me know. Felicity

BRR. You'll need that can of soup when you get back inside.

@fbailey Thanks for the challenge, Felicity. I do use the camera in manual mode quite a bit. But it sometimes takes a fair amount of fiddling around to get what I want. It’s not at all intuitive. Lately I’ve put it in automatic a bit more than usual, especially when it’s sub-zero weather! What I haven’t used much at all are Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority. Would it be an acceptable substitute if I experimented with those?

@summerfield I think so, but it was too cold for very much of a visit. I'd like to think that when it warms up I could arrange for another "play date" but the soup can may get used before then. I did buy a can of another brand of tomato soup (don't tell this one, though), so we'll use the other next time we have grilled cheese sandwiches, and I'll try to keep from opening this one as long as possible.
