@randystreat Yes, I suspect that’s right. I know this is the first stage of the renovation. They needed to be able to open to business. Since they can’t yet afford to finish everything off, they left it rough and probably did so artfully. I’m adding a question mark to the title.

Possibly art after the fact - someone spotted it as you have done and decided that it was worthy of being treated as art. I think we continually make art totally unconsciously as a by-product of practicality.
