The get pushed challenge given me by Ashley @shesnapped was the same one I gave to her: a picture the 10 year old you would have taken. As I explained in my picture of ants, I sometimes found myself at recess down at sidewalk level watching ants. I took pictures of these milkweek bugs, because my first attempt to find and photograph an ant hill on my front sidewalk was a bust. And these bugs were pretty fascinating, even if less active. I eventually got my ant shot, but the milkweed bugs are visually more interesting, so they have earned a spot in my get pushed project of the week.
@shesnapped I've been watching these bugs all week. Yesterday there were some tiny little things without the red on their back ends yet -- just a whitish bit -- that perhaps gets shed. I couldn't get a decent picture of those (I just had the iPhone) and today I didn't see any at that stage, just the little bitty squinchy ones that had the red bodies.
