The old, old Mac is really messed up

The first old Mac computer I set up on the back porch came on with the screen looking like it used to:

This one sadly did not. Particularly disappointing since this is the one on which I’m sure I converted some emails to Word documents and prepared to transfer them and other documents I wanted to save, in a convoluted several step process, to the other Mac, which had a disk drive that was capable of reading the proper format of floppy disk that could be read by more modern machines et cetera et cetera

But then that floppy disk drive got fried out in a power surge caused by a storm so it wasn’t going to happen anyway. When I set it up I was hoping I could at least just look at my documents one last time before having the disk drive wiped clean and recycled as e-waste.

Alas when I plugged it in and turned it on all I got was a flickering checkerboard pattern. Sigh. So since it was messed up anyway I decided I might as well mess around with a photo of it. In the center you see it’s “new normal” and all around it the further messing around. It’s now going back in the garage with the other until I can get it recycled properly.
That looks like an original type Mac. It might be worth some money. I like the way you took advantage and faffed in all kinds of ways.
