PIGS REFUSE TO PLAY. Concede Game? by mcsiegle

As some of you may already know, the weekly Pigmania/Pass the Pigs game has taken on themes. This week we were celebrating International Waffle Day on the 25th, and World Meteorological Day on the 23rd. This game takes a lot out of you (and the pigs), so we've decided we NEED snacks. Waffles this week! No brainer. And to celebrate World Meteorological Day we decided to take pigs and waffles outdoors on Thursday, whatever the weather. Though with the caveat that we all agree that electronics and rain are not a good combination.

Well, when my pigs, Mochyn and Maiale saw the table that sits out on our patio, they categorically refused to play! The top is an old floor grate sitting on top of a metal bottom piece. (Note to self: must secure the two together someday.) Well, I don't blame the pigs. The holes in the grate are bigger than they are. It would be a delicate balancing act to execute a snouter on that surface! Nevertheless, I was not prepared to concede the game and came up with a solution. We were still outside on a cold, overcast day, and eventually it began to very slightly sprinkle. But the playing surface was not hazardous to tiny pigs.
Bless! No wonder they refused! A fabulous shot of this surface before you fixed it.

They had every good reason to refuse. How do they stand a chance of winning in those conditions.

I like the patina on that table. A nice outdoor spot. You were able to fix it up perfectly so the pigs could play. Too bad the weather didn't cooperate.
