THIS IS THE UNEDITED ORIGINAL for " Five stumps all in a row" I've posted in my main 365 album.

The edited version is still not as interesting as the sight was to my naked eye when I first spotted them and others in back of the long garage space for apartment residents at Meadowlark. I wanted to post this to show some of what the problem is with my camera, which needs to be cleaned. At the base of the middle two stumps there is a hazy grayish area due to the dust and whatever else has gotten into the lens. On Ribbet.com I used the 'burn' tool to darken that. And I cropped out the blob at the top. I'm hoping that can be solved with cleaning (whenever I decide to spend the money and send it off somewhere.) But my iPod has a similar spot that appears when there is a light colored area against which it shows. Sometimes I've been able to clone it out. In this case I cropped it off.
Here's the edited version with the cropping, burning, and changes to saturation and color temperature (to better reflect the cold, gray day.)
I think that I like the monotone version a little better. I have some areas on one of my lenses that I can seem to get cleaned.

Both are wonderful, but I prefer the sense of space and context in this unedited original.

Fascinating

I probably would not have noticed the bottom blur but the top one is quite evident at least in this shot! Terrific composition still!
