We have been trying to encourage birds in our garden and now have these blue tits here almost permanently. We had to remove the feeders in the summer due to visits from Basil the rat, and it was sad to see them looking round as if to say "where is it?". Since arranging the feeders so there is no spillage Baz has gone elsewhere and the birds are back.
I wish my neighbours would stop feeding the birds throughout the year. We have been plagued for years with enormous rats and now many of the song birds are gone leaving just crows, magpies, pigeons and buzzards who obviously feed off the latter. Good photo with a soft background!
