1) Fear of the home 2) Fear of Contents of the home 3) Fear of household appliances. As with yesterday's shot, the third definition is being represented here.
Editing consisted of Photoscape's cross process high and Cinema high effects. I feel as if the phobia series needs editing that is much more dark and ominous. However, I'm not exactly sure how to achieve that goal. Anyone have any tips?
fav! Love the blender idea and your processing gave this a "clinical hospital lighting" -feel, which creeps me out. Some appropriate texture/picture overlays could make pics more ominous ... ?
@janmaki
Indeed my hands are not hairy. lol. I'm so glad that you like the processing. I really wasn't sure if it was portraying the message well enough. Texture/picture overlays? hmmmm. I'll bring up gimp and see what I can find. Thanks so much!
Interesting idea for a shot, I agree that the lighting is too bright and clinical. Maybe dimming things down with more even lighting would help and perhaps going B&W with selective coloring
@indianabluejay
Thanks Jim! I was sort of going for a "clinical" feel for the shot, so I sort of like it. Then again, I did originally have a much darker shot in my mind. Black and white with selective coloring, while my favorite, I don't think would have worked because the areas of red are so small and sporadic. Thanks again for your opinion.
Oooh are you doing a phobia series? How creatively creepy! Love this one - I actually did a double take when I first opened it - "is that real? Is that REAL?" - which of course, gets a fav.
@pwallis
Now Paula, you know by now that anytime I say I am going to do something, said thing falls to pieces. lol. I do intent to do phobias for the month of January. Hopefully I can keep it up.
Creatively creepy. I like that. Thanks for the comment and fav lady!
@bobfoto
I JUST discovered pixlr yesterday. I played around with it for today's shot, but didn't really like anything for that particular shot. I will keep it in mind though for others.
@bobfoto
I WILL NEVER admit that @jasonbarnette is right. HA!
Yes, in some cases he is correct, usually it occurs when I use the "orton-ish" effect in picnik. I did not use that effect here. Does it look too soft to you?
@mej2011 - it most certainly does not look like it has been used here. This is sharp as a tack and I do like the clinical look to this shot. We were just talking post processing and I kinda got sidetracked into a different conversation happening on another one of your shots I guess.
@bobfoto
Great! I was really liking this shot and the processing, so I was worried that someone saw something wrong with it.
Sometimes my post processing makes my photos look soft, sometimes my focus just stinks. lol.

Sorry it made you cringe, but yes, I'd actually take that as a compliment. Thanks!

Oh man....That would be amazing, but you're in another country. :( Thanks for the offer though!
Thanks!
Thanks Ronnie!
The mind of a psychology major. It works in mysterious ways. lol. Thanks!
Thank you Rebecca!
Thanks so much Katrina! Hopefully I can keep it going until the end of January.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Yeah so my "month" of phobias, might just turn into a week. lol. I'm bored.

You're smart enough though, to know how to use your camera, and as such post processing is not necessary. Me, not so much. :)

I think my lighting is usually okay, the zoom and being handheld are the problem. I noticed today how shaky the camera was.
Thanks so much Davide!
Thanks!
