Several bushfires have flared up again and they are being fanned by very strong easterly winds. The are not close enough to impact us, but friends were in danger of losing their house. The grass on their verge caught fire, but luckily the fire split and went around their property. They are still on alert in case it flares again.
@narayani Deb evacuated, Doug stayed. He stopped just before the barricade and watched the fire go around the property before returning home to keep an eye things.
Love the shot, but so sorry to hear WA's got bad fires again. And our so-called leaders still seem to have their heads in the sand denying climate change. :(
