A Delightful Visitor DSC_4245

I was very surprised to see this young lady under our patio this afternoon, but also a tad concerned as she showed very little wariness about our presence. A couple of times she came quite close to the door and I wondered if she was about to come in. She hopped about the yard and in and out of the frangipani and jacaranda for well over an hour.
Well captured and so nicely framed!

Magpies are Beautiful, but misunderstood by many for their "swooping". Only protecting their young!

One of my favourite birds. They are often very brave and unconcerned about people.

She must be used to people feeding her.

A wonderful close up of the beautiful bird - our magpies look very different. They are two tone black & white, no markings

We have black-backed maggies and those Southern states have white-backed maggies, yours look like a chimera!
