Day 15 Alice Springs
Today we drove out to the Hermannsburg Historical Precinct and then continued on to the Finke Gorge National Park. We had intended to drive into Palm Valley and do the walk through the valley. The was still quite a bit of water over many sections of the 4WD track so we pulled over just after this section and walked the last kilometre into the valley. On one section of the track, we walked through knee deep water. I'm glad that I had the hood attached to my camera, because I had a tumble, when I rolled my ankle on a rock. My camera crashed onto a rock as I fell, but luckily the hood took the impact and a piece broke off, (much better to need to buy a new hood rather than have a smashed camera). This was taken after my fall, so all is good. I could see no reason to edit this one.
Such glorious scenery and colour, glad the camera didn't suffer any permanent damage (obviously not looking at this pic) but hope you ankle settles quickly.
What wonderful colours and reflections, I'm enjoying what you are sharing of your trip. I hope you are okay and lucky you didn't really damage your camera too. Great shot fav
I'm so glad you're okay after your tumble and that your camera didn't break! Your composition and clarity are so beautiful. Breathtaking scenery! I just keep looking and looking...wow...FAV!
