This afternoon, I found this rather large fellow sitting on a post at the beach. I carefully edged towards him in the hope of getting a few shots. He wasn't the least bit concerned, so I continued to move closer. When this was taken I was less than a metre from him and he was edging towards me. I half expected him to step onto my outstretched arm. Instead he pecked at my jacket, then ignored me.
