Nice capture. How does one tell a male from a female? I have one that drops by my garden occasionally and I’d just like to know.

@gardencat Sibley's shows the Male's ear coverts and auricular region (sides of the head back to the nape) as really dark grey, and the female is lighter and stay a bit orange. I looked at some of my other Coopers Hawk pics and the sides of the heads look darker and more grey I refer to them as males, and if you can see the orange or lighter color yellow/orange then I refer to them as female.
