Eight years ago today I shot this picture from the car approaching Monarch Pass in Colorado. We were on our way home from Christmas with our daughter. Still one of my favorite scenes - sure like this better than the dull browns here right now.
I can see why this beautiful scene is one of your favorites. Amazing how those trees spring up out of all that rock, and who doesn't love a dusting of snow on evergreens? Pretty contrasts, too...warm and cool, light and dark, hard and soft. Just lovely.
