Recovery Stage

This sweet little goldfinch ignored the stickers on the kitchen window that were supposed to warn him - crash - landed on the little table beneath the window. Thought for sure he was dead but after laying there feet up for 15 minutes, he rolled over and sat up. Flew away shortly after I shot this.

I am so glad that the sweet little Goldfinch recovered! That familiar thud of bird hitting window makes me cringe. Thank goodness they recover more often than not. Pretty picture, especially with your trademark sharp focus on the eye. I'm looking forward to the color change to begin on the Goldfinches. Those bright yellow males are such a joy to behold!

We have one every now and then fly into our windows, but they usually bounce off and eventually fly on off. Glad this one was able to make it. Super shot of this one.
