First of the Year!

I couldn't believe it when I looked out the door and there were two butterflies in the back yard - this beautiful Gulf Fritillary - the only one I've seen this year - and a painted lady. Felt like my lucky day!
I would have been thrilled to see this beautiful butterfly too. Wonderful capture.

Yes,it was. They have been migrating through Fort Collins and I have been trying to get pictures of them everywhere with flowers. Such clear detail in this photo.
