Still have one lone pelican left above the dam - he wasn't real fond of me approaching today - but at least I caught him hitting the water with his wings open. So ready for Spring!

Love this. I wish I lived somewhere where I could see these beautiful birds. We went to VA Beach last summer and I was thrilled to see brown pelicans in the distance - got a few in flight photos but nothing to write home about - this shot is fantastic. Fav.
