While on my search yesterday from some early frost, this was as close as I could find - think they're called Ice Needles - and you had to be down on all fours to spot them!

So wonderful to see. Almost like when the frost pushes up a layer of ground. We don't get much freezing weather here anymore. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, ice needles. We get those. They are usually found in sand or sandy soil.
