A little more light, a little more frost - and thought I would have frost bitten fingers before I got this was at least partly focused. Couldn't stay with it even with light gloves on. They reminded me of clam shells. Have any of you found really successful gloves for winter shooting?
I tried the thin gloves you use for touch screens, better than nothing but not very successful. I ended up with what I used to do when I busked on the streets with my flute when I was at college - wearing fingerless gloves! At least the body of the hand was warm and the finger tips were left to use.
I have some fingerless polar fleece gloves/mittens. The mitten can be folded over when when you want to warm your fingers. I used them in Antarctica and they were great.
Lovely light on that frosty cone. Is that from a Ponderosa Pine - do you hav those? Thanks for asking the question about gloves. I'm going to find some of those fingerless glove mittens!
